Location and Things To Do

Conveniently located just a 5 minute drive from the A30 and St Erth train station, Frythens
Cottages are a central base for exploring West Cornwall.

If you’re coming to Cornwall to enjoy the seaside then you’ll be spoilt for choice between the
North and South coasts with several sandy beaches within a 10 minute drive, Marazion, Hayle, Perranuthnoe and Praa Sands to get you started!
The ancient market town of Marazion with St Michael’s Mount is under 4 miles away. Boasting a
long sandy beach and breathtaking views, it’s a must visit during your stay.
St Ives is easily accessible and definitely worth taking the short train journey via the branch
line from St Erth Station (a 5 minute drive away), taking in the fantastic views across Hayle’s
3 miles of golden sands along the way. When you’re there you can enjoy the many art
galleries and shops as well as take in the sea air or book a trip on one of the sightseeing
boats from the harbour.
Other popular places nearby include Land’s End, Porthcurno, The Minack Theatre and
Penzance to name but a few.

If you fancy venturing a bit further then Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula is definitely recommended, as are the maritime town of Falmouth and the cathedral city of Truro and there's always the Eden Project or even the Isles of Scilly!
